UDOT to put more concrete barriers in Sardine Canyon (Box Elder News Journal)

A UDOT (Utah Department of Transportation) project calls for installation of a concrete Jersey-style median barrier from approximately milepost 9.5, just west of the summit on US 89-91 in Sardine Canyon, (beginning in the area near the old Midway Inn), to an area around milepost 7.5, near the main turn-off into Mantua, according to Vic Saunders, UDOT Region One spokesman.

An upcoming meeting of the Minnesota Concrete Council will showcase an innovative cement technology. The meeting, set for Jan. 15, 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Midland Hills Country Club, 2001 Fulham St. in St. Paul, will examine how a “photocatalytic technology” known as TX Active works.

Question : I want to know why did they destroy the slab of concrete that was on Alcoa Drive between the Senior Citizens and the church. I would witness real young boys hanging out there and many times you could see one young boy by himself just sitting there, maybe with a problem.

EAGLE -- A truck driver, driving I-70 through Eagle County pulled over thinking he had been shot. In reality a two pound chunk of concrete broke through the drivers window and hit the driver in the head.
